What is the difference between a 4-wheeler and a 6-wheeler lorry?

A 4-wheeler has single rear tyres and suits lighter loads, such as the 1-tonne-class Isuzu NLR. A 6-wheeler has dual rear tyres on each side, so it can carry heavier loads, such as the Isuzu NPR at 7,500 kg BDM. Tell us your typical load and we will recommend the right one.

Which body types can I choose for an Isuzu lorry?

Aluminium box, corrugated box, fibre box and wooden cargo. Body lengths run from 10 to 14 ft on the NLR and NMR, and 14 to 21 ft on the NPR.

Do I need an APAD permit to carry my own goods in a lorry?

Since 1 April 2026, goods vehicles up to 7,500 kg gross vehicle weight are treated as de-controlled vehicles. You can carry your own business goods without an APAD operator's permit. Carrying other people's goods for payment still needs a Class A carrier permit (Permit A) from APAD.

Can I drive a light lorry with a Class D licence?
