You can buy a Daihatsu Gran Max with cash, a bank loan or a credit loan. For a Panel Van MT with 10% down over 7 years, the monthly payment is about RM940 at Maybank's 3.2% or about RM962 at Public Bank's top rate of 3.9%. Which lender fits you depends mostly on how long your company has been registered. Rates are as of 21 Oct 2026 and subject to bank approval.

Three ways to pay

  • Cash: pay the OTR price in full, with no interest.
  • Bank loan: we usually work with Maybank, Public Bank, Affin Bank and Hong Leong Bank.
  • Credit loan: we work with Yulon Capital.

Gran Max vans are commercial vehicles sold to SSM-registered companies, so every application is made in the company's name.

Five things to check before you sign

  1. Fixed or variable? A fixed rate stays the same; a variable rate can change.
  2. Total repayment, not just the monthly figure. For the Panel Van MT over 7 years, total repayment is about RM78,900 at 3.2% (about RM8,300 interest) and about RM80,800 at 3.9% (about RM10,200 interest).
  3. Down payment. A bigger deposit lowers the loan. The bank sets the final margin of financing.
  4. Insurance. Hire purchase normally requires comprehensive cover, so budget for the premium.
  5. Early settlement. Ask whether there is a penalty for paying off the loan early.

Final approval, rate, margin and tenure depend on the bank's assessment. This article is general information, not financial advice.
