Daihatsu Gran Max Chiller Box Van and Freezer Van
The Gran Max Chiller Box Van and Freezer Van are the Gran Max Pick-Up with an insulated, refrigerated body. The chiller box van (1,600 mm high) costs RM113,506 on the road; freezer vans cost RM114,656 (1,200 mm) or RM114,786 (1,600 mm). All use the 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 5-speed manual gearbox.

What is the Gran Max Chiller Box Van and Freezer Van?
A chiller box van keeps goods cool and fresh; a freezer van keeps them frozen. Daihatsu's brochure lists both the Chiller Van and the Frozen Food Van as Gran Max body applications.
We list one standard chiller body and two standard freezer bodies, in 1,200 mm and 1,600 mm body heights.
The chiller box in the photos is our standard build: white-panelled insulated walls with silver corner trim, twin rear doors on heavy-duty stainless hinges, a stainless steel frame around the rear opening and a ribbed aluminium floor.

Before you order
- An insulated body and refrigeration unit weigh more than a steel deck, so they leave less weight for cargo. Plan your load before you choose the body height.
- Insurance is higher on these bodies because the sum insured is higher (shown in the price breakdown).
- Ask us for the full specification of each standard package (U22, M20, S20) before you order, including the temperature range you need.
- The Pick-Up's gross vehicle weight is fixed at 2,100 kg, and the body you choose counts toward it. A heavier body leaves less weight for cargo than a plain steel deck. Your van's registered weights are set at the weighing and inspection, which is already in the OTR price.
- All bodies and custom changes are subject to Daihatsu HQ approval. Tell us your requirements and we submit them.
